You start with a 6 x 6 piece of designer paper (I used Sending Love DSP stack) and your envelope punch board. Line up your paper at the 1 3/8" line, punch and score along the line diagonally. Next move paper (on same side) to the 4" line, punch and score again, diagonally.
Then turn your paper to counter clockwise and line up your score line with the point coming from the punch. Punch here and score diagonally. Move the paper down to the next score line and repeat. Repeat these steps, turning your paper counter clockwise until all four sides are punched and scored.
Next you are going to hold your paper with the large corner towards you. Cut with your paper snips down the scored line until it meets the adjoining score line on both sides of the corner. Turn the paper 180* and do the same on the other side. Fold along all score lines, folding all score lines in and the small corners out. I then used the opposite side of the punch to round my corners.
Fold up your box and attach the sides using mini glue dots. I attached the small corners down using 1 mini glue dot. I then punched a slit at the top of the large corners using my 3 corner punch (RETIRED).
I used the Sealed with Love Bundle from the Occasions catalog to make an envelope and insert using Whisper White card stock an stamped with a Real Red Classic Stampin Pad. The envelope and insert were cut with the thinlits in my Big Shot and after folding the envelope, I used a mini glue dot to hold it in place. I put the insert in the envelope with the hearts sticking out and attached the envelope the the front of the box using 2 mini glue dots. I added another heart to the front of the envelope. After adding candy (I used Snickers minis, Dove chocolate hearts and Hershey nuggets) I tied the box closed with Cherry Cobbler bakers twine.
This was such an easy project and so fun to do. I think I may do it again for Easter, Christmas, Birthday favors.....lots of options.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.
